History
Created in 2003, La Peonia is a little gem of Sardinian cuisine in the streets of Boulogne! This restaurant and its cuisine represent the embodiment of a traditional Italian-Sardinian culture that exudes flavor, quality, and joy.
Sardinian owner Andrea Saba and Chef Fabio Tenti from Lombardy met over 30 years ago while working together at “Il Cortile” on Cambon street under the direction of Alain Ducasse, then at “Il Sardo” on Treilhard street. They also participated together in the opening of the restaurant “Il Bocconi” on d’Artois street at the request of the owners.
At its creation, La Peonia was a restaurant offering Italian and Sardinian dishes. From 2006, Andrea and Fabio decided to expand their offerings by introducing a selection of authentic Italian pizze, and they brought in Sardinian pizzaiolo Stefano Costa. Not to mention the daily specials offered on the chalkboard menu.
